Advocating for Your Business – New Webinar

May 6, 2022 | Do you want to learn how you can advocate for your business at the state, federal, and international level? Registration has opened for a new Toy Association webinar that invites members to learn about the Association’s advocacy efforts to protect the business of play, and how they can get involved and have a voice at the table on issues that impact their companies the most.

Taking place June 9 at 2 p.m. (Eastern), “Protecting and Promoting Your Company: Why Advocacy is Critical” will help toy manufacturers and industry stakeholders understand the different ways government can impact the toy industry and even their own businesses and products. The session will discuss the financial impact of certain legislation and regulation, highlight key issues affecting the toy industry, and inform how advocacy efforts can help companies grow in the U.S. and abroad.

“This webinar peels back the curtain on a lot of advocacy work we put in to help move our industry forward, while ensuring the health and safety of the millions of children and families that play with toys every day,” said Ed Desmond, executive vice president of external affairs at The Toy Association. “We encourage members to attend, share their input on the issues impacting their businesses, and learn how they, too, can get involved in this important advocacy work.”

Presenters will include members of the external affairs team, including Al Kaufman, senior vice president of technical affairs; Joan Lawrence, senior vice president of standards & regulatory affairs; and Jennifer Gibbons, senior vice president of government affairs.

This free session is open exclusively to Toy Association members.

Questions about this webinar and other educational opportunities offered by The Toy Association may be directed to Anne McConnell, senior director of market research & data strategy.
