Mr. Tiberiis, contributed much to the toy industry over his long career, but is perhaps best known for generously sharing his expertise with others and training many future leaders in his field.

Born in Brooklyn, Mr. Tiberiis first came to Canada in 1961 to work for Astral Electric, which was owned by Eldon Industries. He is the man that thousands of children can thank for introducing Eldon Road Race and Powerride Cars into Canada. Indeed, during his time with Eldon and later as President of Leisure Dynamics (Canada), he pioneered the importation and distribution of a range of toys made in such countries as the United States, China, Korea, Hong Kong and Japan. His years in the industry ended with his resignation as Chairman of the Board of Classic Products Inc. in 1992.

He was renowned for helping others to follow in his footsteps and was considered by his peers as a true leader and wonderful teacher. Mr. Tiberiis was famous for his dedication to the industry. As President of the CTMA in 1967 and 1968 he worked tirelessly to save the annual Canadian Toy Fair which was in jeopardy of floundering. He not only succeeded, he went on to help put the Canadian toy industry on the world map.
