Acting CPSC Chair to Deliver Keynote Address
February 20, 2025 | The Toy Association will host a “Toy Safety & Legislative Update” on Monday, March 3 during Toy Fair® at the Javits Center in New York City. All registered Toy Fair attendees are invited to attend the seminar, taking place from 9:30 to 11:45 a.m. (complimentary breakfast begins at 9 a.m.) in the General Session Theatre (Hall 1D).
The seminar will include a video keynote address from U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) Acting Chair Peter Feldman, who will brief the audience on key priorities for the federal agency under the Trump administration. The chair’s remarks will be followed by presentations from Toy Association leadership and outside experts, who will share the toy industry’s top state, federal, and international legislative and regulatory priorities, including an update on the Association’s ongoing advocacy against tariffs on toys.
“Our ‘Toy Safety & Legislative Update’ is an invaluable opportunity for Toy Fair attendees to get a front-row seat for exclusive insights on the most pressing safety and regulatory topics facing the toy industry,” said Kathrin Belliveau, chief policy officer at The Toy Association. “This seminar will provide critical updates from expert speakers, including key information on timely issues shaping the ever-evolving regulatory landscape around the world.”
Additional topics to be covered include chemical regulation and extended producer responsibility (EPR) requirements at the state level; key product safety regulation updates; and developments on various international issues.
