As the first snowflakes begin to fall and the spirit of the season takes hold, we are reminded that the most powerful magic isn't found in a workshop at the North Pole—it is found in the hearts of our incredible toy industry community.
For 15 years, the Canadian Toy Association (CTA) has been on a mission to ensure that distance and sub-zero temperatures are no barrier to holiday joy. The Toys for the North (T4N) 2025 campaign has now wrapped up, and once again, the Canadian Toy Association—in partnership with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Canadian Forces 8 Wing CFB Trenton, Gardewine Group, North Star Air Limited, and Thomson Terminals Limited—has proudly helped bring holiday cheer to children in some of Canada’s most remote communities. These special gifts are now officially on their way, travelling across snow and ice to ensure they arrive in time for that very special day.
A Journey of a Thousand Smiles
This year, thousands of toys travelled thousands of miles—by truck, by plane, and in some cases by snowmobile—to reach children across:
- Newfoundland and Labrador, including communities such as Nain, Hopedale, Natuashish, Makkovik, Postville, Rigolet, Cartwright, Black
- Tickle, Mary’s Harbour, St. Lewis, Port Hope Simpson, and the Charlottetown area;
- Nunavut, including Grise Fiord, Baker Lake, Hall Beach, and Pangnirtung;
- Yukon, including Pelly Crossing, Beaver Creek, and Old Crow;
- Northwest Territories, including Fort Good Hope and Fort McPherson; and
- Northern Ontario, including Sachigo First Nation, Eabametoong First Nation (Fort Hope), and many more communities beyond.
Because of your generosity, children who live far from large city centers can still experience the wonder of the holidays: unwrapping a new toy, feeling seen, and knowing that someone, somewhere, was thinking of them.
Your support transformed distances into connections and winter cold into warmth and joy.
Celebrating the Toy Industry's Generosity
The Canadian toy industry companies donated $694,829.42 worth of toys during this year’s 15th annual Toys for the North initiative.
This year’s campaign not only reflects the strength and compassion of our sector, but it also demonstrates the impact we can make when we work together. On behalf of the Toys for the North team and the communities we serve, thank you for helping us turn your contributions into lasting memories of hope, play, and possibility.

- Canadian Toy Association
-
Swerve
-
Thomson Terminals
-
Royal Canadian Mounted Police
-
Canadian Forces 8 Wing CFB Trenton
and to get the collected toys to their final destination, the RCMP partnered with:
