Genius of Play’s ‘The Great Play Escape’ Highlights Nearly 100 Products to Consumers
September 7, 2022 | Twenty-six Toy Association members participated in The Genius of Play’s “The Great Play Escape” giveaway, reaching nearly 100,000 consumers with fun toy ideas that helped fuel escapism through play over the summer, whether physical or imaginary. From a portable print camera from VTech and a light-up pool party kit from Starlux Games to a folding scooter from Micro Kickboard and many more, approximately 100 products were featured on The Genius of Play’s Facebook and Instagram.
Held June 21 through August 31, the social media campaign accumulated 3,912 total entries and 15,087 engagements, reaching 94,874 consumers during the height of the summer vacation season. To enter the giveaway, consumers responded to tailored prompts within each post’s caption. This opportunity was free and only open to Toy Association members.
“‘The Great Play Escape’ giveaway successfully showcased our members’ outdoor- and travel-themed products to consumers this summer,” said Anna Yudina, senior director of marketing initiatives at The Toy Association. “Not only did families get ideas for new toys and games as they hit the road or had a staycation, but the campaign also gave companies exposure to The Genius of Play’s social media audience of parents and caregivers.”
