Dallas Exhibitors: The Toy Foundation Is Accepting Donations for The Toy Bank

September 19, 2022 | Exhibitors at The Toy Association’s 2023 Preview & 2022 Holiday Market can avoid the hassle and expense of shipping their toys and games back to the office with a donation to The Toy Bank to benefit deserving children in need within the Dallas area. A signature program from The Toy Foundation (TTF), all donations made to The Toy Bank will be collected during the show’s close on September 22.

Companies interested in donating can submit a completed product donation form and set aside the product to be donated before leaving the exhibit space. Printed donation forms will also be delivered to all exhibitor spaces to return to TTF’s booth No. 12-207. Volunteers will pick up and box all donated items immediately following the close of the show.

“A donation to The Toy Bank helps us bring the extraordinary physical, emotional, and educational benefits of play to local Dallas children in need,” said Pamela Mastrota, executive director of The Toy Foundation. “Especially as we’re nearing the season of giving, we are grateful to have Preview & Holiday Market exhibitors join together and bring a smile to the faces of these children through the power of toys.”

To help distribute the product collected, TTF is working with four local organizations:

• Baylor Scott & White McLane Children’s Medical Center, which meets the medical needs of children in Central Texas, incorporating play activities, a colorful and friendly atmosphere, and more to create a nurturing place to heal and thrive.
• Dallas Metro, which meets the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of thousands of children in Dallas’ inner-city neighborhoods through after-school programs and in-home visitation for a lasting positive impact.
• Rainbow Days, aiming to help children and youth in adversity build coping skills and resilience through support groups, camps, mentored activities, and tangible items to create positive futures.
• The Birthday Party Project, helping celebrate the lives of children experiencing homelessness through the magic of a birthday celebration to instill a lifelong impact that builds confidence and lasting joy.
