Toy Association to Announce Toy & Play Trends that Will Drive Sales this Holiday Season

toy-trends-logoOctober 4, 2022 | The Toy Association’s trends team will announce the hottest toy and play trends of the holiday season on October 11, offering an inside look at some of the fastest-growing fads in the toy and play space. The “Q4 Toy Trends Update” will include product examples to illustrate each trend and data from a recent survey commissioned by The Toy Association that gauges parental attitudes about the toy industry.

The trends team met with dozens of companies in late summer and early fall, both in Los Angeles and at the Preview & Holiday Market in Dallas, to identify trends and innovations that are developing and/or emerging in the toy and play space as the holidays draw near.

The “Q4 Toy Trends Update” will offer media and consumers insight into how the 2022 toy trends, identified by The Toy Association earlier this year, have evolved. The team will be available to speak with media reporting on which toys will be topping kids’ wish lists this holiday, as well as those seeking an in-depth look at how larger cultural trends are impacting the way families shop and how kids play.

The Toy Association trends team will continue to hold meetings with member companies this fall and into the winter as it lays the groundwork the top toy trends of 2023, which will be announced by The Toy Association on March 8 at The Play Date, a brand-new event hosted in partnership with Adventure Media & Events that will connect consumer, trade, and business press with toy brands and products that will be hot throughout next year.

Companies are encouraged to get their new products on the team’s radar for future media opportunities and for a chance to be included in the 2023 trends announcement. Contact The Toy Association’s Jennifer Lynch to set up an appointment; preference is given to Toy Association members.
