Canadian Toy Association Announces 2023 Hall of Fame Inductees
November 2, 2023 | The Canadian Toy Association (CTA) announced the winners of its 2023 Rising Star Awards, which recognizes emerging leaders in the toy industry whose achievements reflect exceptional growth and impact manufacturing, retail, and marketing.
The winners are: Anisah Ahmad, director of retail strategy at Hasbro; Deborah Mulock, senior brand manager at Moose Toys; and Shannon Parsons, senior manager at LEGO.
“The Canadian toy industry is driven by an incredible diversity of talent and emerging leaders demonstrating leadership, entrepreneurship, and creativity in our businesses,” said Graeme Bissett, director of marketing at Makeship and chair of the CTA. “We are honored to recognize and congratulate this year’s Rising Star winners for their incredible role in helping to shape the success of our business.”
The winners will be honored in person at CTA’s Hall of Fame Event, taking place November 16, 2023 at the Mississauga Convention Centre in Mississauga, Ontario. The evening will include a reception and a dinner, followed by ceremonies to induct Jon Levy, founder of Mastermind, Paule Rancourt, managing director of KID Toy, and Kelly Woon, vice president of North American Sales for Funrise, into the CTA’s Hall of Fame and recognize the Rising Star Award winners.
