Toy Fair® Attracts Top Retailers & Press
January 13, 2025 | In just a few short weeks, Toy Fair® will welcome thousands of toy professionals, media, and buyers from around the world (including 19 of the top 25 U.S. toy sellers — and counting — representing the $40 billion U.S. toy industry) at the Javits Center in New York City.
As of this writing, more than 1,500 retail outlets from 49 U.S. states and 60 countries and territories are slated to attend, with Toy Fair’s overall attendance representing 79 countries and territories.
The show is also set to welcome hundreds of members of top-tier press, a testament to Toy Fair’s global significance as the epicenter of toy and game innovation. Notable media outlets registered to date include The New York Times/Wirecutter, CNN, CNET, Consumer Reports, GMA3/ABC News, CBS Sunday Morning, Late Night with Seth Meyers, Forbes, BuzzFeed, Good Housekeeping, Parents, SHOP Today, PC Mag, and more.
“Thousands of buyers, media, and play professionals will be at Toy Fair to explore the equivalent of nearly eight football fields filled with toys and games,” said Kimberly Carcone, executive vice president of global market events at The Toy Association™, producer of Toy Fair. “Exhibitors will be at the center of it all — growing their businesses, spotlighting their latest playthings for media to report on, and setting toy & play trends for 2025 and beyond.”
This year, continuing to enhance buyer engagement and media visibility, the show has reintroduced the visual merchandising initiative, which requires exhibitors to make products visible in at least 20 percent of their aisle-facing space. In tandem with this initiative, the second annual Reimagination Awards will recognize the most playful, welcoming, and attractive booths.
Attendees can further boost their business savvy by attending Toy Fair University sessions held throughout the show. Seminars and panel presentations will address everything from AI and top marketing tips, to sustainable packaging guidance, to The Toy Association’s Toy Trends Briefing, which will unveil new consumer research about toys, play, and emerging trends.
“All attendees and exhibitors will have direct access to valuable connections and resources they need to succeed and break through the clutter across the play landscape,” added Carcone. “Whatever your place is in our industry, Toy Fair is where you need to be.”
As the largest and most influential toy show in the Western Hemisphere, Toy Fair is the ultimate destination for toy professionals to expand their business networks, connect with industry leaders, gain valuable insights from educational panels and seminars, discover emerging trends, and experience the latest toys and games set to shape 2025. Toy Fair® will take place March 1 to 4, 2025 at the Javits Center in New York City. Attendee registration and hotel bookings are now open. Limited space is available to secure a spot to exhibit.
