The Toy Building, located at 101 Continental Blvd., is available for lease across four fully renovated floors, featuring 65 premium showrooms ready for move-in on August 1, 2025. Showroom space on the first available floor (12) is sold out, prompting the early opening of an additional floor for leasing ahead of the crucial fall preview season.

 

Toy Fair’s Student Congress Welcomes Hundreds of Students Interested in Toy Careers

Toy Fair® 2025 had a record-breaking turnout of students eager to explore career opportunities in the toy industry. More than 530 undergraduate students attended Toy Fair to take advantage of educational sessions and explore the show floor, with over 300 participating in the day-long Student Congress program, which took place on Sunday, March 2, at the Javits Center in New York City.

Tariffs on Imports from China Rise to 20% as Mexico & Canada Paused Until April 2

As previously shared in an email update to the full Toy Association membership, President Trump has announced a delay in the implementation of tariffs on goods imported from Mexico and Canada until April 2. This decision follows the president’s March 3 announcement of sweeping 25 percent tariffs on goods entering the United States from Mexico and Canada, which initially took effect at 12:01 a.m. on March 4.

 

The Toy Association™ Addresses Global Product Safety at International Symposium

Toy Association staff attended and led a panel discussion at the International Consumer Product Health and Safety Organization (ICPHSO)’s 2025 Annual Meeting & Training Symposium. The international symposium, which took place February 16 to 20 in Orlando, Florida, brought together product safety professionals from around the world to discuss product safety compliance in the ever-changing global marketplace.

As previously shared in an email update to the full Toy Association membership, the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) opened a comment period on reciprocal trade, following President Trump’s announcement of the “Fair and Reciprocal Tariff Plan.” Toy manufacturers are urged to submit comments on behalf of their companies if this issue impacts their sourcing countries and export models.
